Club Mofo wine again... I'll have to get down to the bottle shop soon and try something different.
Raspberries, spice and leather on the nose which is quite lifted and pretty. Palate backs it up with rich raspberry, chocolate and coconut oak. Nice silky mouthfeel with gentle tannin and a good medium weight. The youthful acidity and fruit make it easy drinking but this could easily support the Lamb fillet I'm going to be having for dinner tonight.
Again really great easy going Cabernet. Young with tonnes of fruit so really easy drinking (truth be told far to easy drinking). Worthy of serving to your friends at dinner to show them you like cool little wineries.
Now the big man gives them 5 stars and this little Cab a happy 93pts which on this rare occasion I am going to agree with.
Value for money is a given. $25 for a boutique producer's Cabernet is a steal. I'd imagine you'll find it around some local Melbourne independents for around the $18.99 mark and I'd be more than happy to part with a $20 for my next fix.
Summary.... I've made an investment in a case and so should you! Enjoy guys and happy drinking.
Welcome to My Wine World, a handy resource for those of you out there who want a good honest opinion on wines of all types, where to buy them, what price you should pay and without too much confusing jargon. Hopefully this will help anyone find something they will like. As I drink a bottle I will put a review up. Good luck with your purchases and happy drinking.

About Me
- My Wine World
- I'm just your average guy with a love and passion for wine. I enjoy touring and tasting as well as collecting wines. My current cellar sits around 350 bottles which fluctuates dependent on occasions and if I find a bargain. My preference for drinking as you will discover as this blog grows is to big bold Shiraz, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and the occasional Rosé on a summers day. Although they are the wines I love I definitely appreciate all wines and give my descriptions/recommendations based on the quality and taste of the wine not based on my personal preference to the grape variety, I will drop my opinion in there to help those few out who simply want to be told good or not good. Good luck with your purchases and I hope I can help. Happy drinking.
