Amazingly lifted, packed full of fruits and summer florals, the wonderful kero aged character starting to poke it's head through. This little baby is at a wonderful stage of it's development! The palate is showing a great balance between zippy acidity and residual sugars making it super approachable even to those out there who don't appreciate the aged characters in Riesling.
Simply put this is a great Riesling for drinkers of all styles, if you're only just entering the world of aged riesling then the aged characters are there enough to keep you interested, if you like them a little sweeter this has a touch of sweetness that balances out the acidity for those who like em a little zippy. Good fruit and easy drinking this should keep most content.
The ratings on this wine were all done as a young wine but it received a dismal 90pts from James Halliday. I'm going to go out on a limb and throw 92pts at I really enjoyed the wine and think it has aged well.
Value for money... sub $20 for this little number you can't go well wrong really. I'm sure on Vinomofo it'll pop up as a great deal but there will be a few floating around independant bottle shops around $15 I would have thought and I'd be more than happy with that.
In summary give this one a shot kids, I'm sure you'll love it!
